Guidelines

At Wiki-Safety, you have a wide range of different possibilities for participating in the Site and for the setting and placing of Content. We ask all users to do so in a respectful way. Please do read and follow these guidelines when contributing to the Site.

Inappropriate content:

Any of the following Content must not be posted on the Site.

  • Content that is racist, pornographic, obscene, offensive, vulgar or invasive of privacy; content that glorifies or downplays violence, or content which contravenes moral and ethical standards;
  • Content which impairs or endangers the development or upbringing of children or young people, or which contravene human dignity or other valued legally protected interests;
  • Content which is able to incite other persons into criminal actions or other actions which contravene moral and ethical standards;
  • abusive or offensive statements;
  • threats to other members, service providers or third parties;
  • defamatory criticism, slander, offensive statements, lies or incorrect information;
  • Content which contravenes the intellectual property rights or confidentiality of third parties;
  • copied Content over which you have no rights;
  • Content which presents a security risk, for instance, computer viruses or "spam";
  • links to web sites with Content that contravene current legislation, is inappropriate to young people, or is otherwise inappropriate;
  • names, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses with the exception of those pertaining to the user's personal profile; or
  • unauthorised advertising of a particular thing, such as raffles, discount campaigns or sales in the form of events.

Relevance:

Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the Site. In addition to the restrictions above, the following rules apply:

  • Content must pertain to the service of the Site;
  • Content must correspond with reality;
  • Content must be factual and accurate;
  • negative Content is permitted but must be expressed in terms of fact;
  • no derogatory terminology may be used;
  • Content which has been initiated by an organization/company owners (including employees) themselves are only permitted as self-expression and must be clearly indicated as such;
  • the stating of email addresses, URLs or telephone numbers for advertising purposes is not allowed;
  • straightforward advertisements (concealed or open) are not permitted without our written permission;
  • rumours, Content based upon rumour, or the unconfirmed statements of other persons are not permitted;
  • Content must comply with any guidelines issues or made available to you from us; and
  • content may not contain personal data other than that provided as part of the member's profile.

Privacy:

Don't publicize other people's private information. Please don't post close-up photos of other people without their permission, and please don't post other people's full names.

Intellectual property:

Don't swipe content from other sites or users. Please write your own contributions and take your own photos and videos.

Promotional Content:

As a rule, promotional Content and advertisement can not be posted.

Correction and removal of Content:

Wiki-Safety endeavors to display all user submissions on the Site. In some cases Content may be corrected without changing the general message of the original contribution. Content may also be removed if necessary. Once submitted, Content can not be changed.

Publication of Content:

Content will not be displayed in real time. It may take some time for your Content to be displayed.

Pictures and videos:

Pictures and videos will not be returned. The processing of images and videos consisting of large amount of data may take some time. The picture and sound quality of submitted images and videos may differ from the original submission.

Device-dependent characters:

Please do not use any pictograms, icons and symbols (e. g. heart symbol). The display of such characters may vary depending on the device being used and Content may not be displayed correctly.
