Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone and anytime. A person suffering from cardiac arrest immediately loses consciousness and stops breathing or breathes irregularly.

Survival is unlikely if a heart massage is not conducted within 5 minutes of the cardiac arrest.

The sooner the heart massage is applied, the higher are the chances to survive. In the event of cardiac arrest here is nothing that can be done wrong or worsen the situation!

Studies show that immediate heart massage doubles or triples the chance of survival.

The following three things are to be done when a person is unconscious:

1.Check response
No response? No or irregular breathing?

2.Call
Call 911 or ask someone else to do the emergency call.

3.Press
Press firmly and quickly in the middle of the chest at a rate of at least 100 compressions per minute.
Do not stop until help arrives.

Trained first responders are to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation at a rate of 30 compressions to two breaths of mouth-to-mouth ventilations.

突然の心臓の鼓動停止はいつでも、どこでも、誰にでも、起こる可能性があります。鼓動停止が起こると、その人は意識を失い呼吸が普通でないか、呼吸停止が起こります。

心臓の鼓動停止が起こってから5分以内に心臓マッサージを行わないと生還が危ういです。

心臓マッサージは、早ければ早いほど良い効果が出ます。心臓の鼓動停止が起こった場合は心臓マッサージの失敗を心配せずにさっさと心臓マッサージを与える事です。「良く分からない」、「これで正しいか分からない」と思いながら何もしないのが一番ダメです。

心臓マッサージを与えられた場合と与えられなかった場合の生き延びる確率を比べると、与えられた場合の方が二倍から三倍です！

良く分からなくても何もしないよりも心臓マッサージを与えるほうが良いと言うことです！


意識不明になった人への重要な対応は下記の3点です：

１．確認する

反応がない？　呼吸停止もしくは、普通の呼吸ではない。

2 ．緊急電話

119番に電話をする。もしくは他の人に緊急電話をたのむ。

3 .心臓マッサージ

胸の真ん中をしっかりと早く押します。最低1分間に100回。

救助がくるまで止めないようにそのまま続ける事です。
