Human blood is unique and can not be produced synthetically. People who lost a high amount of blood due to an accident, who have to undergo a major surgery, or suffer from leukemia are dependent on donated blood every day. The occurence of shortages is life threatening and must not occur.

Anyone in the age between 18 and 60 fulfilling certain conditions can donate blood. A detailed medical examination is carried out to determine the suitability as a donor. The process of extracting 500 ml of blood takes approximateley 10 minutes. The loss of blood does not cause any health risks to the donor and the blood is replaced by the body. The donated blood undergoes a complex diagnostic process including the examination of infectious diseases.

When donating blood, always be sure that only sterile disposable products are used and that the extraction process is carried out by trained personnel.

血液というものは他に類の無いもので人工的に製造はできないものです。事故に遭遇し大量の血液を必要とするけが人が毎日のごとくいますし、病院での大きな手術のとき、また白血病患者も他人の血液を必要としています。ですから、血液の欠乏が起こらないようにする事は非常に重要です。

一定の条件を満たす18歳から60歳までの者はだれでも献血ができます。最初の献血の時に献血者としての適合性がチェックされます。適合とみなされると採血がおこなわれ、約10分ほどで500ミリリッターの採血が行われます。この500ミリリッターの採血は当事者にとって健康上まったく問題ありませんし、体内でまたすぐ再生されます。採血された血液は複雑な診断プロセスに送られ感染菌等がチェックされます。

採血時には、殺菌された器具が使用されているか、また採血担当者が十分な採血教育を受けているかに注意しましょう。
