Immer wieder werden Facebook-Profile gehackt und gekapert. Sehr häufig werden Profile für folgende Aktivitäten gehackt.

1.Anmeldung auf Dating-Portalen und –Seiten.

2.Sammlung und Verkauf persönlicher Daten oder anderweitiger Missbrauch des Profils.

3.Zusendung von fiktiven Rechnungen und anderen Forderungen.

4.Zugangsverschaffung zu weiteren Profilen und Mailaccounts.

Folgende Maßnahmen empfehlen sich zur Vermeidung derartiger Missbrauchsfälle.

1.Freundschaftsanfragen sorgfältig überprüfen und im Zweifelsfall nicht bestätigen.

2.Bei gekapertem Account lässt sich mit Hilfe der Sicherheitseinstellung „Zuverlässige Freunde“ der Zugriff auf den Account wiederherstellen und das Passwort zurücksetzen. Bestimmen Sie bis zu fünf Freunde, die für Sie leicht erreichbar sind, um im Bedarfsfall schnell handeln zu können.

Vor kurzem wurde mein eigenes Profil auf Facebook gehackt. Als ich es bemerkte hatte der Hacker unter anderem mehr als 10 Freundschaftsanfragen beantwortet. Sofort habe ich Facebook mein Profil als gehackt gemeldet und das Passwort konnte zurückgesetzt werden. Glücklicherweise kam es durch das schnelle Handeln zu keinem weiteren Schaden. Dennoch war es eine unangenehme Erfahrung während der ich zeitweilig auch über die Löschung meines Profils nachgedacht habe.

Regularly, Facebook accounts are hacked and hijacked. Once hacked, the following activities are common:

1.Registration on dating portals and sites.

2.Collection and sale of personal information and other misuse of the profile.

3.Sending of fake invoices.

4.Obtaining access to other profiles and mail accounts.

To prevent such abuses the following measures are recommended:

1.Check requests to become friends carefully and do not confirm requests of strangers.

2.In case of Facebook a hacked account may be restored and the password reset using the security setting “reliable friends”. Appoint up to five friends who you trust and with whom you can easily get in contact as reliable friends.

Recently my own account on Facebook has been hacked. When I noticed the attack, the hacker had among other already accepted more than 10 friend requests. I immediately reported to Facebook and the password was reset. Fortunately, no other damage occurred thanks to my fast reaction. Still, it was a very unpleasant experience during which I even thought about deleting my account.
