Recently, when I was riding my bicycle I almost ran into a chain which was stretching from a building wall to a pole. The chain was blocking a fire passage to through traffic. Due to unfavourable light conditions I was not able to see the chain and almost ran into it. Attaching a reflecting warning sign to such barrier chains would help to make them more visible during day and night-time.

最近の事です。自転車に乗った私は、建物の壁とポールにつながれた通行止めのチエンに危機一髪で引っかかるのを免れました。この鎖の封鎖は、消防車用の通路であるためこのように封鎖されています。光の光線状況により、私には、このチエンの封鎖が見えなかったのです。このようなチエンで通路を封鎖する場合、チエンに早めに気づくように、目立つカラーの反射板などを下げてもらいたいものです。
