Trucker Dieter Wahl has been driving on highway A6 for hours. He urgently needs to have a break. But on the highway in the direction of Mannheim and also in the direction of Nürnberg it is impossible to find a parking place at one of the service areas. All parking areas, service areas and truck stops are overcrowded. Day and night, it´s always the same scene. Trucks even park on entry and exit lanes to service areas and parkings. The risk is immense.

The traffic rolls on at regular speed iust next to the parked trucks. Road safety expert, Christian Weishuber of the Allianz insurance company: „Dramatic accidents occur regularly. One should use extreme caution when entering or leaving crowded parking areas or service areas, especially in the dark. Drivers should expect pedestrians between the trucks, slow down to walking speed, and be prepared to step on the brake.“

トラッカーのディター・ヴァールは高速A6をもう長時間走っています。彼は緊急に休息せねばならないのです。しかし高速A6のマンハイム方面、またニュールングベルグ方面にあるサービスエリアでのパーキングは見込みがありません。駐車場もサービスエリアも全て満杯です。日中も夜もドイツの高速ではこれと同じ狂気沙汰が起こっているのです。大型トラックが駐車場もサービスエリアも埋め尽くし出入り口まで駐車しているのです。最悪な事故発生危機です。

このトラックの数メートルしか離れていない所を通常な高速交通量があり、
車はスピードを出してこれらの側を飛ばしています。

アリアンツの交通安全専門家のクリスティアン・ヴァイスフーベル：「進入路に入る所でひどい衝突事故が頻繁に起こっています。ですから自家用車が、サービスエリアに入る場合、特に夜間は、極度に慎重になり、道の端に気を配りブレーキの用意をし、トラックの間に歩行者がいる可能性を考慮しゆっくりと走りましょう。」
