Mit offenem Tankdeckel zu fahren ist gefährlich und auch der Motor kann durch eintretendes Regenwasser Schaden nehmen. Eine den Zustand des Tankdeckels anzeigende Kontrollleuchte wäre praktisch. Sinnvoll wäre auch eine Wegfahrsperre, die das Fahren bei geöffnetem Tankdeckel verhindert.
